What is the difference between a rake race and a rake chase?
Rake races are leaderboard-style competitions where the top ‘x’ number of players get a part of the total prize pool. For example, a $1,000 rake race might pay the top ten finishers. 1st might get $200, 2nd $100, 3rd $50, and so on.
Race chases are a little different. Certain rake targets are established and a set number of rewards are made available at each target. Hit the target, you get the reward – as long as the rewards haven’t run out by the time you hit the target. Here’s an example from our recent PokerWorld rake chase:
